We are starting a very busy and fun half term in our Reception and Year 1 class. We will learn all about different traditional tales, including many of our favourite stories as well as myths and legends. We will share our favourite books on World Book Day, and talk about our favourite characters.
We are all trying so hard with our reading in school. A big thank you to all of the parents/carers for practising with their children at home, keep it up!
We are finding out a lot about real castles and enjoy dressing up and pretending to be the lords, ladies and knights who lived in them.
Celebrating Wales is also going to be a big part of our learning this term. We will celebrate St David’s day and learn all about Welsh music and dance.
Please bring in your reading folders every day. The more we see them, the more often we can practise reading in school and give new books to read at home.
Biscuit money is 50p a week. Toast money is 10p every Tuesday.
Please continue to read with your children at home, as often as you can. They are all doing so well and are becoming more confident with their reading.
